The Ramp Church DMV (Ramp DMV) began as a result of Bishop S.Y. Younger’s God‑given charge to resuscitate the faith of a generation in the Washington metropolitan area. What started as regional pop‑up worship services—beginning on July 6, 2018 at the Harborside Hotel—quickly revealed a revival ready to break out. A Prayer Revival followed on August 20, 2018, and a Prophetic & Worship Encounter on May 17, 2019 made God’s call even clearer. By March 2020, Bishop began vision‑casting to move the fellowship from intermittent gatherings to an established weekly assembly. However, after only one in‑person Bible study on March 10, 2020, progress was delayed by the COVID‑19 pandemic. Despite the pause, Bishop and his newly assembled DMV team persisted with weekly virtual Bible studies, followed by three more pop‑up services (September 2020, November 2020, and March 2021).

The Ramp Church DMV came into full form when the first in‑person, post‑quarantine Bible study took place on June 15, 2021 at Greater Tyson Temple in Southeast DC. Tuesday Bible studies continued, leading to the first Sunday service on July 18, 2021. The church officially launched on August 22, 2021 at Scripture Cathedral, and on January 28, 2022, it received its Certificate of Affiliation from One Way Churches International (OWCI), where Bishop S.Y. Younger serves as Vice Presiding Prelate. Today, Ramp DMV is focused on “Reaching As Many Possible,” carrying out the God‑inspired vision to resuscitate the faith of the people in the DMV area, and eagerly anticipating the manifestation of all God’s promises.
